It is about two and half thousand years ago when Mahatma Buddha Shakyami had established the Buddhism. Millions of people across the globe have followed the pure spiritual path he revealed. The Buddhist path leads us to discover a state of lasting happiness for both ourselves and others. Buddha stated that whatever problems we face in our daily life arise from our negative and confused states of mind and a positive and peaceful mind gives all the happiness and good fortune.
He taught ways to fight against our negative minds such as annoyed, envy and disregard and shown a path to develop our positive attitudes such as adoration, humanity and common sense. Through this we will experience the peace and happiness for long time. These methods can work for everyone or for every age. All the beings have hidden strength to achieve the liberty, a state of lasting happiness. Once we gain experience of them for ourselves we can pass them on to others so that they too can enjoy the same benefits.
Buddhism is basically begun in north-eastern India and is based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama. According to Buddhist monks it is 2,500 years old and there are 350 million Buddhist believers in worldwide. The key concept for the Buddhist believers is Nirvana, the most enlightened and blissful state that one can get.
Buddhist Art appeared on the Indian subcontinent after following the historical life of Siddhartha Gautama around 5 to 6 century BC. Thereafter it cultivated by association with other cultures as it expanded throughout Asia and the world.
It is said that Gautama Buddha had identified the four holy sites most worthy of pilgrimage for his Llammas saying that they would produce a feeling of spiritual urgency. These are Lumbini Birth place, Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, Kusinagar.
Gautam Buddha was born in royal family in 563 BCE. Once an astrologer had predicted about him that he would leave the comforts of the materialistic world leave and instead, he would choose a path of his own. His father wanted to see him a king of his kingdom.
