It is an enchanting place to meditate and is situated about 2280 meters from the altitude of the Paro Valley. It was believed that Buddhist guru Taktsang Senge Samdup used to meditate in the caves around 8th century.

The natural beauty of this place covered with Phobjika glacier makes it perfect for the tourists. One of the Buddhist monasteries to capture is the Taktshang Monastery. It is one of the oldest and finest monasteries with Buddhist art and architecture encrypted on it. The sight-seeing of this place can be enjoyed if one wish to walk down the sloppy roads with cliff on one side and monastery on the other.
