Sanctum-Sanctorum is the Birthplace of Lord Buddha.Maya Devi temple has been built in the memory of Gautam Buddha’s mother, Maya Devi. The splendid sculpture that has been engraved is Buddha standing upright on a lotus petal and his mother under the Sal tree. This temple is believed to have been built 2000 years back.
