Buddhist Leh Ladakh Tour

It was the erstwhile capital of Jammu & Kashmir and it has always been a place of tourist attraction. Day 01: Arrive Delhi

On arrival Go Heritage India Journeys representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi - Leh (By Flight)

Buddhist Tour Itinerary  Leh LadakhNext morning we would drive you to the Delhi Indira Gandhi Airport from where you would take your flight to Leh. The Ladakh being the home of monks has gained its popularity because of beautiful architecture of monasteries and various monuments and stupas. It had a history of Chinese invasion in this place several centuries back which had actually influenced the monks from Tibet to come and settle in Leh. The sites to capture are the Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. The Hall of Fame is the special attraction.

Do not miss out the shopping at this place. Beautiful hand made embroidered handicrafts by the local people.

Day 03: A day out to excavate the Buddhist Monasteries

The monasteries are the Hub of Tibetan Settlers at these monasteries who had made it their home. It was in the 14th century that the First Dalai Lama had influenced the spread of Buddhism in this place which is also to be a little Tibet. There are several monasteries which you may explore. The popular ones are the Hemis and the Shey monastery.

If you have time you can drive to the mountain pass of Leh to explore the picturesque mountain beauty. Well! This day would totally for excavating these two famous monasteries of Ladakh.

Day 04: Leh - Alchi
Morning after breakfast drive to Alchi. Enroute visit the Basgo Palace and Liker monastery. Alchi is located on the mountains of Ladakh region. Overnight stay at Alchi.

Lamayuru Buddhist Manasteries
Day 5: Alchi - Lamayuru - Alchi
In the morning we would guide you to Lamayuru Gompa which is set in the Sringar-Kargil road. This being the oldest monastery is popular for its Dance Festival performed by the monks.

Day 6: Alchi - Leh - Delhi( By Flight)
After breakfast drive to Leh for your flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi our representative will meet you and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.

Day 7: Delhi - Flight Back Home
Morning after breakfast explore the Delhi city on your own. In time transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
