Day 01: Guwahati Arrival
Go Heritage India Journeys representative will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. He will guide you with the check-in formalities. After fresh-up our guide selected from our local office will take you to tour the Kamakhaya temple and Sankerdev Kalakhetra. These temples are one of the holiest dhams of Hindu religion. If you wish to do some adventure than we take you for a boat ride in the Brahmaputra River.Drive back to the hotel and overnight stay at Guwahati.
Day 2: Guwahati - Bomdila (5 hours drive)
After breakfast, drive to Bomdila. As you drive the beauty of nature will definitely attract you. Go Heritage India Journeys will take care of your inner line permit.Visit the Tipi Orchid the largest in Asia with more than 7000 orchids planted.On arrival check-in to the hotel and overnight stay at Bomdila.
Day 3: Bomdilla - Tawang Monastery
Bomdilla is an imitation of Tsona Gontse Monastery, which is located in the south of Tibet. So, our first plan for you to guide you to visit this marvelous monastery early in the morning. The monastery throws a significant light on the Mahayana sect of Buddhism. Explore the city which is absolutely famous for its north-eastern Handicrafts and specially the hand weaved bags. Later proceed to Tawang.Tawang is just across the Sela Pass which we will cross on the way to Tawang. From June to October, it is the best time to visit Tawang. After you reach Tawang, check into one of the lodges. Overnight stay at Tawang.
Day 04: Explore Tawang
Tawang not only famous for the largest monastery but also for the snow covered mountains of Himalayas. The monastery symbolizes the holiness of the place. The monks are ardently devoted towards the practice of Buddhist culture. The monastery got popular when the 14th Dalai Lama settled here after the invasion of Chinese in Tibet.The other sites to capture are the Lake Mountain of the Twang valley inhabited by the Monpa Tribes. The Paradise Lake and the Tsongeswar Lake are the two most amazing sites where you are going to be guided. The Parkhang library is another attraction of this place. It has preserved the old relics from Buddhist time. It has been popular because for its 3 storied structured building. Interaction with the Mompa tribes will give an insight about their life at Tawang and their culture. You will get to interact with the Buddhist monks who will share their story about their routine life at Tawang. We will take you back at the hotel / Lodge where you stay overnight.
Day 5: Tawang - Bhalukpung
In the morning we would guide you to Lamayuru Gompa which is set in the Sringar-Kargil road. This being the oldest monastery is popular for its Dance Festival performed by the monks.Day 6: Explore Bhalukpung
An exotic place to experience the adventure of River Rafting.The adventure begins with a visit to Nameri National Park. It is an awesome river rafting site on the river Jia Bharali. The thrill and excitement will let you hold your breathe at the time of river rafting. Our representative will always be at your side to guide you throughout, while you explore its beauty of wild life culture on Arunachal. Stay overnight after a hectic day.
