Buddhist Tour with East India

Buddhist tour with East India is an exemplification of dharma amid righteous karma. The monasteries, Buddhist rituals, red robes bearing Buddhist monks, stupas engraved with teachings of Buddha and temples epitomizing his divine presence proffering blessings to entire humanity.

Destination : Delhi - Varanasi - Bodhgaya - Patna - Kolkata - Darjeeling - Gangtok - Kolkata

Day 1: Delhi Arrival

Laxmi Narayan Temple Delhi Arrive at Delhi and you will be welcome by our travel representative to the capital city of India. The rep will later accompany you to the hotel and ease the check - in formalities. Check - in and relax at the hotel. In the evening spent time with leisure, pleasure, shopping, enjoying light and sound show. Come back to hotel have dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing Tour

Have early morning breakfast and embark on a Delhi sightseeing tour. The visiting will include visit to the major attractions like Delhi Red Fort, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, Jama Maszid, Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Qutub Minar, Rajghat Gandhi Memorial, and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Go back to hotel late evening after yummy dinner and unwind.

Day 3: Delhi - Varanasi

On 3rd day have breakfast and board flight to Varanasi. On arrival our representative will meet you at the airport. He will be accompanied to the hotel. Check in and relax. Later visit Sarnath the place where Lord delivered his first sermon. It’s the place where from first sermon of Lord to creation of Buddhism, and Buddhist Sangha came into existence. The major attractions of Sarnath are Kondanna. Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Chaukhandi Stupa. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: Varanasi Tour

Early in the morning, enjoy a boat cruise on the river Ganga to witness sunrise, offer prayers to sun God, and bathe in the Ghats of river Ganga. The other major attractions of 4th day include Bharat Mata Temple, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas and the Banaras Hindu University. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 5: Varanasi - Bodhgaya

On 5th day morning have breakfast and embark on Buddhist Tour with East India. Drive to Bodhgaya from Varanasi to enjoy the spiritual sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya. The foremost Buddhist attractions include the Mahabodhi temple of character improvement, and Bodhi Tree where Lord Buddha achieved supreme enlightenment. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.

Day 6: Bodhgaya - Patna - En-route visit Rajgir and Nalanda

Nalanda Tour Have breakfast check out from hotel from Bodhgaya to drive to Varanasi and en-route visit Rajgir and Nalanda. Rajgir is an imperative part of Buddhist tour where Lord Buddha spent 12 years delivering numerous sermons.

The main attractions of Rajgir are Jivkamaravana monastery, Griddhkuta where Gautama Buddha undergone several months meditation, and preaching at Griddhkuta, ('Hill of the Vultures'). The other two attractions at Rajgir are Japanese Shanti Stupa in Rajgir and Vishwa Shanti Stupa.

The next Buddhist destination is the oldest University of world Nalanda which since time immemorial has been a great place for Buddhist learning accommodating 2,000 teachers and 10,000 monks' students from all over the Buddhist world.
Then drive to Patna and check in hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Patna hotel.

Day 7: Patna - Kolkata

The 7th day will be marked with visit to Patna Sahib & Patna Museum and later board a flight to Kolkata. On arrival check in hotel and spent the day with leisure and shopping at Kolkata's famed shopping sphere. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Kolkata - Darjeeling
On the 8th day have breakfast and embark on Kolkata city tour. Form visit to the flower market at the banks of river Hooghly, to boat cruise at river Hooghly, come across attractions like Victoria Memorial, Nehru Planetarium, St Paul's Cathedral, and Indian Museum demonstrating Indian arts, culture, sculptures, and handicrafts to be picked as a souvenir. Later board train to Darjeeling. Overnight on train.

Day 9: Darjeeling
Buddhist Darjeeling Tour On early morning arrive at Darjeeling, check in hotel, have breakfast and go for a tour of enchanting hills of Darjeeling. Then embark on a toy train tour to enjoy romantic rendezvous at the serenade hills with charming orchid flower valleys. Darjeeling was a summer retreat of British Raj and now an enamoring honeymooner’s destination. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 10: Darjeeling
On the 10th day the major attraction of Buddhist tours with East India includes a visit to Ghoom Monastery. The other attractions of the day will cover Tiger Hill (9000 ft), the highest point of Darjeeling, capture the becharming sunrise over Mt. Everest and Kanchenjunga, visit to Himalayan mountaineering Institute to get a glance of local tea garden. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11 - 12: Gangtok Tour
The two day excursion at Gangtok will be an extensive tour covering Buddhist and other attractions of Rumtek Monastery, Deer Park, Droul Chorthen, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom and Enchey Monastery. Also the tour will include visit to tranquil Tshangu Lake. The lake remains frozen in most part of the year but the real beauty can be witnessed during May to August when rhododendrons, iris, primulas, and poppies burst into bloom on its banks. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 13: Gangtok - Bagdogra - Kolkata
Have breakfast and drive to Bagdogra to board flight to Kolkata. Arrive at Kolkata and check in hotel to relax the entire day at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14: Kolkata - Onwards destination
Early morning breakfast and check out from hotel. Proceed to Kolkata Airport to catch a flight to onward destination.
