Day 01: Arrive at Delhi
On arrival at Delhi International Airport you will be assisted by our representative to drive you to your hotel.Delhi the city of elegance, royalty, and modernism is the wonder destination that must be visited by every globetrotter to enjoy a great vacation. Frequent monuments were built over several centuries by different rulers like Qutub-ud-din Aibak, Alauddin Khilji, Tughlaks, Humayun & Shah Jahan, who built the Walled City of Shah Jahanabad.
Later in first half of 20th century, most of New Delhi was planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who laid out a flamboyant central administrative area as a demonstration to British rule in India. The partition in walled city & New Delhi also marks the ethnic yet contemporary shades in life styles. Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi - Pathankot by Overnight Train
Train: Jammu Mail - 4033 Departure: 2100 hrs Arrival: 0650 hrsEnjoy a delicious breakfast, and embark on a tour of Old Delhi, the 17th century city of Shah Jahanabad. Visit Jama Maszid, the chief mosque of Old Delhi. Built in the year 1656 AD by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Jama Maszid is the largest mosque in Asia. After lunch walk through Chandni Chowk, the vibrant shopping sphere of Delhi built in the year 1648 by Shah Jahan.
In New Delhi, trip Raj Ghat, monument to pay homage to father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Later in the evening we drive past India Gate, the cenotaph build in the year 1931 to pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their life in the World War I & the Afghan Wars. The names of the martyrs who laid down their life in these wars are emblazoned on the walls. Then get a glimpse of the President’s House, the authorized house of the President of India, built in the year 1931. Then visit Humayun’s Tomb, the world heritage and UNESCO site also the commemorative plaque of Mughal Emperor Humayun, inscribed in the year 1562. Also visit Qutub Minar built in the year 1206 by Qutub-ud-din Aibak is the tallest (72m) brick minaret in the world. Qutub Minar & its monuments are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Later in the evening transfer to railway station to board train for Pathankot. Night on Board.
Day 3: Pathankot - Dharamsala (92 km / 3 hrs)
After overnight train journey arrive at Pathankot early morning. You will be welcome by our representative at railway station and further assisted to Dharamsala. Strategically positioned in the state of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamsala is a stunning hill station and is also the safe haven where religious head of Tibetans, Dalai Lama has recognized the government in exile.Upon arrival, check-in at hotel and relax with overnight stay at Dharamsala.
Day 4: Dharamsala
Early morning wake up and relish yummy breakfast, go for sightseeing of Dharamsala. The tour begins with a visit to Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) and attends the cultural programs that are performed there. The TIPA is the institute committed with the obligation of maintaining and promoting Tibet’s exceptional tradition of performing arts since 1959. Thereafter, visit Norbulingka the once refugee community now the finest center of capturing Tibet’s culture, history, arts, crafts, and affluent civilization.Later in the afternoon, you will be free in Dharamsala. Overnight stay in Dharamsala.
Day 5: Dharamsala
Wake up early in the morning to feel the freshness of serene Dharamsala. Then have yummy breakfast to go for sightseeing tour of the city. The tour includes visit to Namgyal Monastery. His Holiness Dalai Lama re-established Namgyal Monastery in India, after the exile from Tibet. Thus the monastery is an exceptional glimpse of ancient rituals, artistic skills and tradition, constructing colored sand mandalas, performing sacred monastic dance, ritual music and chanting.Late in the afternoon after lunch visit Baijnath and Mcleodganj for a trip to Sherabling monastery. It provides an absolute assortment of facilities for monks to study and practice. The monastery has shrine halls, a monastic college, school, library, museum, exhibition hall and dispensary.
Day 6: Dharamsala - Pathankot (92 km / 3 hrs) Pathankot - New Delhi by Train
Train Detail: Jammu Mail - 4034 Departure: 1905 Hrs Arrival: 0545 hrsWakeup take a stroll to bid goodbye and after breakfast you can enjoy an excursion of beauty adorned Dharamsala and later in the afternoon drive to Pathankot railway station to board overnight train for Delhi. Night on Board.
Day 7: Arrival Delhi
On arrival back to Delhi our representative will assist you back to the hotel. The day is a complete off to get rid of tiredness, refresh with shopping at Delhi’s famed markets, relishing on Indian street foods, may be watching a movie, or opt for a spa therapy. In the evening enjoy light show, purchase antiques, carpets the must buy and essence of Indian culture.Have a delicious dine & wine and overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 8: Delhi - Agra (205 km 4 / 5 Hours)
Have breakfast and start your morning trip with visit to Sultan Haat and Delhi Haat. Witness the captivating handicrafts, arts, crafts, and sculptures from Indian artists, craftsmen and skilled youth. You can also purchase few as souvenirs. Then have city tour and relish Indian lunch at one of the 5 star restaurant. In the late afternoon drive to Agra the city of Mughal architectural wonders, cultures, and relishing Mughlai cuisines. Overnight stay in Agra.Day 9: Agra - Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (235 km / 5 hr)
The 9th day one can enjoy the best of Agra tours amidst Taj Mahal, Sikandra, Fatehpur Sikri, Itmad-Ud-Daulah Tomb, Jama Maszid, Agra Fort, Shopping of marbles, and leather goods.
