Footsteps of Lord Buddha

Footsteps of Lord Buddha is a spiritual sojourn for all religious fanatics from across the world and even for those who are not religious but want to ascertain the deeper meaning of life. By following lord's footsteps the utmost dharma, the supreme karma, and the pious soul for final liberation can be achieved.

Duration : 9 Nights - 10 Days
Destination : Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Bodhgaya - Varanasi - Kushinagar - Lumbini - Sravasti - Lucknow - Sankasla - Agra - Delhi

Day 1: Arrive Delhi - Patna - Bodhgaya

Buddhist Bodhgaya Tours On arrival our travel representative will give you an Indian hospitality and then you will check in hotel and get relax. Later in the afternoon you will be assisted by our representative to board flight to Patna from Delhi Airport. On arrival at Patna you will be guided by our representative to drive to Bodhgaya. Arrive at Bodhgaya and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 2: Bodhgaya Tour

The 2nd day will mark the tour of footsteps of Lord Buddha as post breakfast you will embark on the escapade of Buddhist destinations around Bodhgaya. Visit the Mahabodhi temple to seek the blessings of Lord Buddha and also witness the holy Bodhi tree where Lord Buddha accomplished supreme enlightenment to frame the principles of most followed religion Buddhism. Late in afternoon visit the Sri Lankan monastery at Sujata Village. Again at evening visit Mahabodhi temple to offer evening prayers. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Bodhgaya

On the 3rd day morning wake up and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Then visit the most former university of world Nalanda which since time immemorial has been a great place for Buddhist learning. Next holy Buddhist stop is Rajgir where one can capture the glimpse of Vulture's Peak or Giridhrakoot. Also the tour will cover the visit to Japanese Shanti Stupa in Rajgir.

Day 4: Bodhgaya - Varanasi

On the 4th day drive to Varanasi from Bodhgaya. Arrive and check-in hotel. In the evening visit Sarnath the place where Lord delivered its first sermon. The major attractions of Sarnath are Kondanna. Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Chaukhandi Stupa. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: Varanasi - Kushinagar

kushinagar Tours Destination On the 5th day an early morning outing to Varanasi to spectator the amazing sunrise at holy river Ganges. Savor a boat cruise in the sanctum river while basking an astonishing sunrise. Accordingly offer morning prayers to Sun God and ancient custom in India. The other attractions include Golden Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and Birla (Shiva) Temple.

Later in the evening drive to Kushinagar and check - in hotel. Overnight stay at Kushinagar.

Day 6: Kushinagar - Lumbini
On the 6th day visit the attractions of Kushinagar. The major attractions of Kushinagar are Mahaparinirvana Stupa, built on the shrine of Buddha's Mahaparinirvana (Great Nirvana or passing away), at the place of his cremation with an old image of Lord Buddha. Come back to hotel take rest and then drive to Lumbini the birth place of Lord Buddha. Check in hotel at arrival and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Lumbini - Sravasti
On the 7th day visit Lumbini attractions of Buddhist temples, including the Mayadevi temple and the Ashokan Pillar. Come back to hotel take a pause then drive to Sravasti. Sravasti was the rainy season retreat of Lord Buddha. At Sravasti Lord lived for 25 years and performed many miracles along with preaching of dharma. The other attractions include Jetavana monastery, Japanese monastery, Sri Lankan Temple, and sacred site of Kapilavastu.

Day 8 - 9: Sravasti - Lucknow - Delhi
On the 8th day morning has breakfast and enjoys the Buddhist sites of Sahet Mahet and Jetvan. Then drive to Lucknow on arrival and check-in hotel for an overnight stay. Next day morning board a flight to Delhi.

Day 10: Delhi Sightseeing & Departure
On the 10th day Delhi sightseeing will include visit to the major attractions like Delhi Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Jama Maszid, Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Qutub Minar, Rajghat Gandhi Memorial, and Rashtrapati Bhavan. Come back to hotel check-out and board flight back to onward destination.
