The most famous Buddhist festival Htamane is held between February and March in all over the world. It is said that it is made of sticky rice and sesame seeds. Making of Htamane is not very easy task and it requires 4 small basket of sticky rice, 20 coconuts, 1 small basket each of peanut and sesame seeds, 4 kilo of oil, 0.32 kilo of ginger and some salt. Keeps the rice to stick for overnight and next day start frying the small pieces of coconuts and other ingredients pour it in the soaked sticky rice into the Pan. To stir the rice we need two people to cook. After preparing Htamane, it is offered to Lord Buddha and afterwards it is given away for free to all devotees.
The International folk festival is conducting on Nepal. The organizer of this festival is the Everest Nepal cultural Group-Organization. The main motive of this program is to develop Nepal’s cultural heritage, encourage the world’s diversity, coactions among the groups and promote the Buddhist Tourism in Nepal.
